Senior Clearance will be on Thursday, May 14th.
Senior Clearance is the final checklist for seniors to complete before graduation. Seniors may begin clearing certain parts beginning April 29 when they receive their checklist.
On May 14th (last day), seniors will come to campus to finish any items they need checked off, fill out their graduation name card, and turn in their clearance form. The schedule below indicates what time you are required to come to school on May 14th to complete clearance.

Cap and Gown distribution begins on Thursday, April 9th in the College & Career Room located in Student Services.
This date is for seniors who are fully on-track to graduate. You will receive information from Mr. Shreffler regarding steps to pre-clear with your counselor and get your Golden Ticket to pick up Cap and Gown. If you earned a “F” in any graduation requirement class, are missing test scores, need to complete Edgenuity or an online course, or any other hurdles to reach graduation, you will not pick up your Cap and Gown until these issues are cleared.
If you have NOT purchased the cap & gown package, you will have an opportunity to purchase it on the day of distribution ($85 cash only). If you have any questions regarding your cap and gown please call Jostens at (407) 894-3131 as soon as possible. -
- Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 2:00 pm at the University of Central Florida Additions Financial Arena.
- There are no parking fees for graduates but…there are parking fees for all guests.
- Parking fees for guests will be charged per car in the UCF parking garages. You may pay the parking fee in advance on the UCF website.
- Students should arrive NO later than 1:00 pm. Being on time is a MUST.
- Students will meet in the staging area at the back of the arena.
- Guests are NOT permitted in this area.
- All guests are expected to be seated in the designated seats by 1:45pm.
- No bottles, cans, or containers of any kind are allowed in the arena
- No items that make noise or cause distractions are allowed in the Arena (i.e. bullhorns, air horns, laser pointers, confetti, silly string, balloons)
- No weapons, alcoholic beverages, or other illegal substances
- All guests will go through Additions Arena security for entrance.
- All other information will be covered during graduation rehearsal on May 15
- UCF will send out a high school graduation guide soon. Please be on the look out for this information.

- Each graduate will receive 10 tickets.
- The graduate does not need a ticket to the ceremony and children under two years old do not need a ticket.
- Tickets are general admission and not reserved seating.
- Each graduate may request extra tickets via a Google Form, extra tickets are NOT guaranteed. This form will close on Fri. May 1st (it may close sooner if we run out of tickets).
ALL TICKETS will be distributed to graduates only at the Graduation Rehearsal on Thursday, May 14th. Keep your tickets in a safe location, as they will be needed to enter the arena.

To ensure that your name is spelled correctly on the graduation program, we need you to verify the spelling using the following form. Please fill this out before April 10. If you do not verify the spelling, it will be sent to the printer as stated on the list.

Seniors have an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in the halls of East River High School by submitting their artwork for our 2026 Senior Class handprint mural.
If chosen, the design will be painted on a wall in one of our school hallways, and the 2026 seniors will place their handprints around the design during senior clearance (May 14 ONLY).
Please submit the design by Friday, April 10.

The spring Senior Assembly will be on Wednesday, April 29th during 4th period.
- This assembly will go over the final information leading up to graduation.
- You will receive your senior clearance checklist to begin the checkout process to be cleared for graduation.
- If you cannot attend this assembly, see Mrs. Adkison in Student Services for your clearance form.

Have you decided on your post high school plan? We want to CELEBRATE it.
This includes plans to attend: four year university, two year college, military, accelerated skills training, apprenticeship, technical college, certification program, or any other educational program.
Decision Day is April 29 in the PAC during both lunches. Seniors, you will have the opportunity to take pictures at multiple photo backdrops (you may wear your cap and gown for this), sign our banner with your plans, and receive a treat. Whatever your plans are please wear your swag to represent.
EVERYONE is invited to attend, but you MUST fill out the RSVP. Only seniors who have RSVP’d will be allowed to attend this event. Please fill out the form below by April 15th.
