Weekly Update 10/12-10/16/26

Good afternoon Falcon Families!

This week and last, our school is recognizing Disability Awareness Week, a time to celebrate the unique strengths, talents, and contributions of individuals with disabilities. Through activities and discussions, students will learn the importance of empathy, inclusion, respect, and understanding. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by helping students appreciate the value of diversity and the importance of creating a community where everyone feels welcomed and supported. Together, we can foster a culture of kindness, acceptance, and belonging for all.ERHS is a recognized Unified Sports school, and this year we have added a bowling team. Please enjoy the picture below and cheer them on as they have another tournament upcoming.Thank you for partnering with us as we promote awareness, inclusion, and respect throughout our school community.
Thank you to SGA and all the students and faculty that made homecoming week a success! The week was filled with fun activities, dress up days, sports, and of course the dance. Dress Code- updates- please read!

Unfortunately, we have some students who continue to ignore the OCPS dress code. Please be reminded that students should pay special attention to the following:
  • Any clothing  or backpacks with references to alcohol, drug use, or weapons is prohibited.
  • Crop tops and shirts that show the midriff are prohibited.
  • Clothing must have straps and undergarments cannot be visible.
Thank you for helping your student keep their school clothing and non-school clothing separated. We will issue consequences for repeat offenders beginning this week.

ATTENTION!

Student IDs are required to be displayed while on campus. Please clip your student id to your backpack at all times. If you are a returning student and lost your ID, please go to the media center before or after school to get a new one. Replacement IDs are $5. We want to be sure that our students are safe on campus!

Early release and late arrival students received a specially printed id this week so they can quickly be identified and verified by our security guard. Please note, that if your student loses the id or does not have it with them, they will be required to purchase a replacement for $5. If a student does not follow the procedures for late arrival/early release, this privilege will be revoked. Here are a few reminders:
  • You must have your specific late arrival/early release id on at all times
  • You must enter and exit through the front office
  • Late arrival will be revoked if you are tardy to your first class on your schedule more than 5 times in a quarter.
  • Early release will be revoked immediately if non-authorized students attempt to leave with you.
  • You MUST have purchased a parking spot if you are a driver. If you do not have transportation to leave early, you will have a full schedule. You cannot leave with another student.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about these policies.
