Weekly Update 8/17-21

Good afternoon Falcon Families! What a wonderful first week of school we had. Schedules should be pretty well set and we had our first Falcon Friday with games, music, and prizes in the courtyard at lunch. On Falcon Fridays, we wear RED! We had a great turnout to support our Falcons at Friday Night Lights- keep coming and supporting!

Your student should have received their laptop this week and 9th graders will begin to receive id’s next week as well. If you are in grades 10-12, you can keep your id from previous years. If you are a new student to East River, please stop by the media center before school to get your id printed. If you need a replacement id, the cost is $5.

Thank you for your patience with traffic at both arrival and dismissal. Please be sure you have a BLUE hanging tag for this school year to enter the car line. If you need one, please email Mrs. Adani: janel.adani@ocps.net. She will give to your student, or you may stop in the front office to get it. Two per household. Thank you.

Please see the form attached to this message for Parental Authorization from Student’s Legal Name and/or Pronouns. This form must be completed each year. Forms may be turned into the front office or Room 105.

Teachers will provide a list of any specific school supplies your student may need for their particular classes, but below is a generic list that all students need:
Backpack
Pencils/pens (blue and black)
Loose leaf college-ruled notebook paper
Several composition notebooks
Wireless mouse (optional, but recommended)
Several 2-pocket folders
Please email me if you are in need of supplies- I have some available!

Let's have a great week 2!

ATTENTION!

Student IDs are required to be displayed while on campus. Please clip your student id to your backpack at all times. If you are a returning student and lost your ID, please go to the media center before or after school to get a new one. Replacement IDs are $5. If you are new to ERHS, you will come to the media center this week to get your free id. We want to be sure that our students are safe on campus!
