August 3, 2026

Welcome Falcon Families!

Welcome back Falcons! In one short week, we will welcome all of our students and our new freshman, We are excited to have the buzz of excitement and learning back on our campus. It has been my privilege to serve as the principal of East River High School for the last four years, and I am looking forward to great anticipation to begin my fifth. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may ever have at rebecca.watson@ocps.net, or call the school 407-956-8550 ext. 6332223.

This will be your weekly update to all things ERHS. I encourage you to read and make note of the many events that will help keep your student connected! Students who are connected in school beyond the classroom through sports, clubs, and extracurriculars show a greater sense of belonging and enthusiasm. I encourage your student to get involved. Get ready for Meet The Teacher and Falcon Fly-In this coming Thursday- details below.

Teachers will provide any specific school supplies your student may need for their particular classes, but below is a generic list that all students need:
Backpack
Pencils/pens (blue and black)
Loose leaf college-ruled notebook paper
Several composition notebooks
Wireless mouse (optional, but recommended)
Several 2-pocket folders
Please email me if you are in need of supplies- I have some available!

See you soon Falcons!

ATTENTION!

Student IDs are required to be displayed while on campus. Please clip your student id to your backpack at all times. If you are a returning student and lost your ID, please go to the media center before or after school to get a new one. Replacement IDs are $5. ERHS 2026-2027 Schedule Change Request form with instructions and a QR code.
We are excited to say that students can see a draft of their schedule on Skyward starting today.

Please remember, this is not a FINAL schedule. Adjustments are still being made, classes shifted and balanced, and much more. So, if your schedule isn’t perfect, or full, it is OK.

However, if you see an elective course on your schedule that you would like to change, you can use the form linked in the image above. This is the ONLY way we will accept schedule change requests. Please do not email your counselor, as this will take them away from answering the requests on the form.

**Only the Student can complete the form, and they must use their School Google Account.
