Device distribution, Falcon Fly-In, and Transportation information

Good evening, Falcon Family!
We hope you are enjoying your summer! Below is helpful information on distribution dates for the upcoming school year, as well as information on Falcon Fly-in, device distribution, parking, and bus passes. Please take a moment to read this information in its entirety, so you are prepared for the start of another great school year!

We will hold 3 Distribution Days in July so students can pick up their laptops and transportation tags. The distribution dates are July 28, July 30, and July 31. Times will be July 28 2:00 pm-6:00 pm (Grade 9), July 30 1:00 pm-6:00 pm (Grade 10), and July 31 1:00 pm-6:00 pm (Grade 11 and 12). This information is also listed in the graphic below. Parents do not need to be present in order for students to pick up their items, but some items (transportation tags) require parents to pre-register before the item is picked up. Students should bring their id to speed up the process. If a student does not pick up their laptop during these three days, they will receive their laptop during the first week of school. If your student still has their laptop from summer school, please have them bring it to turn it in so it may get reimagined before the start of the new school year.

East River High School announces device and transportation distribution dates for July 2026.

Steps to Distribution: Step 1: Get your Device. Students using their own device fill out form in Skyward. Location: Gym Lobby.

Bus Riders will continue to use their Bus Ridership Card. All students riding the bus will need one of these cards to scan onto and off of the bus daily. If your child was previously issued a card last year, they will continue to use the same card. To obtain a new card (new bus riders or replacement cards), parents must register their student for the bus using the directions located on the graphic below, or by clicking on this link: https://parents.classlink.com/ocps. Parents will need a Skyward Family access account. If you do not already have one, directions on how to create your account and fill out the bus registration form can be found here: Directions on how to register your student for the bus. Bus route assignments for the 2026-2027 school year will be available to view on August 1, 2026.

Finally, we are excited to announce our date for Falcon Fly-In, Meet the Teacher, and Senior Kick-off. The date of this “3 Events, One Night” extravaganza is Thursday, August 6, from 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM.

  • Meet the Teacher is open to all East River High School students and will run from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM. Students can walk their schedule and meet their teachers, so they know exactly where to go on the first day of school.

  • Falcon Fly-in is designed for incoming freshmen but is open to any East River student who would like to get involved and see all of the different sports, clubs, and organizations we offer. Coaches and club sponsors will be in the gym ready to answer questions and sign students up! A top contributor to student success is involvement in extracurricular activities. That is why we emphasize the importance of getting involved every school year.

  • Senior Kick-off is specifically for families of senior students. Families will receive a checklist and can visit our College and Career Center.
