East River Crest

Weekly Update

With Principal Becky Watson

May 25, 2026

Have a great summer!

As we approach the final days of the 2025-2026 school year, I want to take a moment to day thank you. Thank you for all of your support; support for your student, support for our faculty, and support for our school. East River truly is a special place, where students can learn and grow together. We are not perfect, but we are a beautiful community of learners that strive to be better every day. Personally, serving as the principal of East River is the highlight of my career. I look forward to more years together as a Falcon Family!

These last two days of school will be filled with goodbyes and final prep for the summer. If your student missed laptop return last week, be sure they bring it in tomorrow. If your student is taking a class over the summer, they need to show registration to Mrs. Walker in the media center, to be able to keep the device.

Please take a moment in this busy time of year to pause and reflect. Reflect on those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. This weekend is not just the unofficial kickoff of summer, it is a reminder that freedom isn't free and there are thousands who have given all for our country. Please take a moment to remind your student about the significance and importance of today.

If we don't see you or your student for the last two days of school, I wish you a restful and fun-filled summer!

Attention! No backpacks for the last two days!

On Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th, the last two days of school, please remind your students they will not need their backpacks. If students bring their backpacks, they must check them in when they arrive and retrieve them at the end of the day. Student laptops will have been collected before the last two days of school, and instruction will continue through a more traditional method with supplies already in the classrooms. Thank you for listening and for your continued support.

Students can carry a small purse or bag for personal items and lunches.

ATTENTION!

Please be advised that seniors are no longer allowed on campus without special permission. Seniors must check in at the front office and can only be on campus for official business.

Please review safety reminders!

Please DO NOT drop students off in the staff parking lot or pull into the mobility spaces to drop students off. There are several suggestions below for avoiding the back-up in the mornings. The mobility spaces are reserved for our students with mobility needs and the reserved spaces are for our Little Falcons parents. Please take the time to safely drop off your student in the drop off lane.

Continued reminders for parents and students about our parking lot:

  • If you need to pick up your student between 7:30 am-2:20 pm, you must park and walk in the front office. Please do not park in the fire lane.
  • Parking near the front office is marked for mobility, reserved- for parents of Little Falcons and pick-up outside of the regular hours. Please park there when coming inside the front office.
  • Please do not line up for afternoon dismissal prior to 1:45 pm. It causes traffic congestion, and we already have enough of that.
  • I recommend dropping your student off early, courtyard doors open at 6:45 to avoid morning traffic.
  • I recommend coming about 2:30 pm if you are picking up in the afternoon if you want to avoid the rush of traffic and buses leaving the property.

Thank you for helping us keep our students and faculty safe by adhering to speed limits of 10 mph and following all traffic cones, barricades, and signs in the parking lot.
