Important testing reminders!

This is an important week for testing. We are so excited to see our students shine! Please see these simple tips for preparing that will help our students on these important days this week.

We will have two days of modified schedule this week- Monday and Wednesday. Remember that Wednesday, May 6th is a LONG Wednesday! There is no early release due to testing.

Our students and teachers have been working hard and now is the time to give 100% effort and show up every day. Thank you for your support in helping your student be ready. Don't forget to limit screen and phone time the nights before these tests- it truly helps!

Faculty Appreciation Week May 4-8!

Please join us in appreciating ALL of our faculty and staff this week! Here are a few low cost and free ideas:
  1. Wave and smile at our security guard, traffic personnel, and our SRO's
  2. Be kind and say thank you to our front office and clinic personnel
  3. Write a short note or send an email of appreciation to admin, deans, and teachers
  4. Send a small token of appreciation to any of our staff: cafeteria, custodial, clerks, teachers
  5. Deliver donuts or baked goods for the front office to share
  6. Send flowers or candy with your student to give to their teachers

Progress Reports are now available for view in Skyward. Email if you would like a printed copy- kacie.hough@ocps.net.

ATTENTION!

Student IDs are required to be displayed while on campus. Please clip your student id to your backpack at all times. If you lost your ID please go to the media center before or after school to get a new one. Replacement IDs are $5. We have had many students now in compliance with this important safety matter. We want to be sure that our students are safe on campus!

Please review safety reminders!

Please DO NOT drop students off in the staff parking lot or pull into the mobility spaces to drop students off. There are several suggestions below for avoiding the back-up in the mornings. The mobility spaces are reserved for our students with mobility needs and the reserved spaces are for our Little Falcons parents. Please take the time to safely drop off your student in the drop off lane.

Continued reminders for parents and students about our parking lot:

  • If you need to pick up your student between 7:30 am-2:20 pm, you must park and walk in the front office. Please do not park in the fire lane.
  • Parking near the front office is marked for mobility, reserved- for parents of Little Falcons and pick-up outside of the regular hours. Please park there when coming inside the front office.
  • Please do not line up for afternoon dismissal prior to 1:45 pm. It causes traffic congestion, and we already have enough of that.
  • I recommend dropping your student off early, courtyard doors open at 6:45 to avoid morning traffic.
  • I recommend coming about 2:30 pm if you are picking up in the afternoon if you want to avoid the rush of traffic and buses leaving the property.

Thank you for helping us keep our students and faculty safe by adhering to speed limits of 10 mph and following all traffic cones, barricades, and signs in the parking lot.

SOAR REWARDS- Remind your student to check their points!

Our SOAR store for positive student behaviors has been a big hit! Our students truly are following our SOAR behaviors and we are proud to recognize them. Please consider donating to help us reward our students. Ask you student how many positive SOAR points they have.
