Weekly Update

With Principal Becky Watson

March 8, 2026

Good afternoon Falcon Families!

I hope this finds you and your student well, and ready for the last four days of school before Spring Break. This Friday is a student holiday/teacher workday and the school will be open 7:00-3:00 pm. Next week, during the break, the school will not be open. Please email if you need anything while we are away.

Tuesday of this week will be an opportunity for Juniors and Seniors who have not yet achieved their concordant score for graduation to take the ACT. If your junior or senior needs this important test score, make sure they are present and on time!

Last week, we attempted to give the SAT, but the test was delayed nationwide. If your student, all juniors and seniors needing a concordant score, were not able to test, please check your school email, as you will have a choice between two dates to take the test. The email came from Mrs. Judson. See Mrs. Judson for any questions or concerns.

When we return from our break, Mr. Bowmer, Assistant Principal, will be assuming some of the Principal tasks and roles, as he is finishing his preparing future leaders program. I will still be at the school and provide guidance daily, but will be allowing him some opportunities to grow and learn. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Have a wonderful Spring Break!

ATTENTION!

Student IDs are required to be displayed while on campus. Please clip your student id to your backpack at all times. If you lost your ID please go to the media center before or after school to get a new one. Replacement IDs are $5. We have had many students now in compliance with this important safety matter. We want to be sure that our students are safe on campus!

Please review safety reminders!

Please DO NOT drop students off in the staff parking lot or pull into the mobility spaces to drop students off. There are several suggestions below for avoiding the back-up in the mornings. The mobility spaces are reserved for our students with mobility needs and the reserved spaces are for our Little Falcons parents. Please take the time to safely drop off your student in the drop off lane.

Please be patient and cautious when merging down to one lane. There will continue to be one lane right in front of the school so that students are not walking through traffic when getting dropped off.

Continued reminders for parents and students about our parking lot:

  • If you need to pick up your student between 7:30 am-2:20 pm, you must park and walk in the front office. Please do not park in the fire lane.
  • Parking near the front office is marked for mobility, reserved- for parents of Little Falcons and pick-up outside of the regular hours. Please park there when coming inside the front office.
  • Please do not line up for afternoon dismissal prior to 1:45 pm. It causes traffic congestion, and we already have enough of that.
  • I recommend dropping your student off early, courtyard doors open at 6:45 to avoid morning traffic.
  • I recommend coming about 2:30 pm if you are picking up in the afternoon if you want to avoid the rush of traffic and buses leaving the property.

Thank you for helping us keep our students and faculty safe by adhering to speed limits of 10 mph and following all traffic cones, barricades, and signs in the parking lot.
