Weekly Update

With Principal Becky Watson

March 1, 2026

Good afternoon Falcon Families!

I hope this newsletter finds your family enjoying this beautiful day! I had the privilege of attending the Central Florida Fair and supporting our FFA and 4H students as they participate in the livestock show. If you are looking for something fun to do this week, the fair is open through next Sunday with livestock shows Wednesday-Saturday. We also have some students with photography and ceramics on display.
This week begins very important testing as we continue getting closer to our end of year exams and assessments. This Tuesday is SAT for juniors and seniors needing a concordant score. Wednesday-Monday is important testing for the following courses: ELA 9, ELA 10, Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, and US History. Please make sure your student is prepping, present, and doing their best. Doing your best on a test isn’t about being perfect—it’s about showing what you’ve learned and giving an honest effort. Every test is an opportunity to challenge yourself, build confidence, and take one more step toward your goals. Prepare as thoroughly as you can, get a good night’s rest, and walk in with a positive mindset. Read each question carefully, manage your time wisely, and don’t give up if something seems difficult at first. Remember, your effort matters just as much as the outcome. Believe in your preparation, stay focused, and give it your very best—you’re capable of more than you think.

Testing starts Wednesday for PMA3!

Free Physicals!

Flyer for Teen Xpress offering free physicals for ages 11-18, with services listed in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole.

ATTENTION!

Student IDs are required to be displayed while on campus. Please clip your student id to your backpack at all times. If you lost your ID please go to the media center before or after school to get a new one. Replacement IDs are $5. We have had many students now in compliance with this important safety matter. We want to be sure that our students are safe on campus!

Please review safety reminders!

Please DO NOT drop students off in the staff parking lot or pull into the mobility spaces to drop students off. There are several suggestions below for avoiding the back-up in the mornings. The mobility spaces are reserved for our students with mobility needs and the reserved spaces are for our Little Falcons parents. Please take the time to safely drop off your student in the drop off lane.

Please be patient and cautious when merging down to one lane. There will continue to be one lane right in front of the school so that students are not walking through traffic when getting dropped off.

Continued reminders for parents and students about our parking lot:

  • If you need to pick up your student between 7:30 am-2:20 pm, you must park and walk in the front office. Please do not park in the fire lane.
  • Parking near the front office is marked for mobility, reserved- for parents of Little Falcons and pick-up outside of the regular hours. Please park there when coming inside the front office.
  • Please do not line up for afternoon dismissal prior to 1:45 pm. It causes traffic congestion, and we already have enough of that.
  • I recommend dropping your student off early, courtyard doors open at 6:45 to avoid morning traffic.
  • I recommend coming about 2:30 pm if you are picking up in the afternoon if you want to avoid the rush of traffic and buses leaving the property.

Thank you for helping us keep our students and faculty safe by adhering to speed limits of 10 mph and following all traffic cones, barricades, and signs in the parking lot.

Athletic Newsletter- returning next week!
