With Principal Becky Watson

December 7, 2025

Good afternoon Falcon Families!

Happy Holidays! I hope this finds your family enjoying all the season has to offer. Maybe you were able to attend our fantastic Prism concert this past weekend, or the 3rd Annual Holiday Market, or attend an exciting sporting event; and no matter where and how you support East River, we are grateful. Our students and faculty are working hard to achieve each day. This week is no exception and offers activities and sports you can attend to see firsthand how committed our students are. As we finish this semester, and get ready for the break, now is the time to express thanks to he teachers, coaches, and mentors that support your student. A holiday card, email of thanks, or a small token of appreciation is always appreciated. Thank you for helping our faculty feel your appreciation.
Winter break begins Monday, December 22 and students return on January 6, 2026. Enjoy the break and we will see you in 2026!

Winer Spirit Week!

A festive calendar lists daily dress-up themes from December 15th to 19th, including 'Mad About Plaid' and 'Pajama Day'.

Connectivity Day- Tuesday December 16!

This coming Tuesday is Connectivity Day #2! We will have an extended lunch so that all students can participate in clubs and activities, as well as get information about the elective classes we offer at school. Students will begin making course selections for next school year soon and this will help them make an informed decision.
ALL students MUST have a permission slip signed by a parent to participate. The permission slip is attached to this newsletter.

The exam will take place Monday, December 15 at 7:20 am. for all who pre-registered.

SAC Meeting- January

Please join us for the January SAC meeting on Tuesday, January 13 at 6:00 pm in the media center.

ATTENTION!

Student IDs are required to be displayed while on campus. Please clip your student id to your backpack at all times. If you lost your ID please go to the media center before or after school to get a new one. Replacement IDs are $5. We have had many students now in compliance with this important safety matter. We want to be sure that our students are safe on campus!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Continued reminders for parents and students about our parking lot:

  • If you need to pick up your student between 7:30 am-2:20 pm, you must park and walk in the front office. Please do not park in the fire lane.
  • Parking near the front office is marked for mobility, reserved- for parents of Little Falcons and pick-up outside of the regular hours. Please park there when coming inside the front office.
  • Please do not line up for afternoon dismissal prior to 1:45 pm. It causes traffic congestion, and we already have enough of that.
  • I recommend dropping your student off early, courtyard doors open at 6:45 to avoid morning traffic.
  • I recommend coming about 2:30 pm if you are picking up in the afternoon if you want to avoid the rush of traffic and buses leaving the property.
  • There is construction around our guard shack as we seek to continually improve our traffic pattern. Please use caution when driving near.
Thank you for helping us keep our students and faculty safe by adhering to speed limits of 10 mph and following all traffic cones, barricades, and signs in the parking lot.
