Weekly Update 10/13/25
Good afternoon Falcon Families! I hope your student has enjoyed the three-day weekend! As we begin this second quarter, this is a good time for students to renew their commitment to excellence in all they do: academics, behavior, sports, friendships, etc. Each day, every student should thrive to be the best they possibly can. Remind your student of the expected behaviors below:
Thank you for your support! The home/school partnership is essential for our collective success.
Please take advantage of the last opportunity to give feedback for this fall on our Parent Survey: https://my.thoughtexchange.com/scroll/525162727/welcome. The survey closes tomorrow!
Congratulations to our Theater Department for a wonderful fall production of The 39 Steps! It was a great show!
This message is to inform families that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has completed signalization work on the new traffic signal at the intersection of State Road (S.R.) 50 and Corner School Drive, and they are now preparing for its activation. The light will be functional and operational on October 14!
As part of the activation process, the signal will operate in flashing mode for a period of approximately one to two weeks. This step provides motorists with advance notice prior to the signal becoming fully operational. In addition, portable message boards will be placed in the area to communicate this information to drivers.
In addition to the new traffic light, our school participated in a Saferwalk audit. As a result of that audit, three new traffic signs were installed 1) Left turn only between 6:30-7:30 am from Old Cheney Hwy onto East River Falcons Way 2) Bus and Service vehicles only in the far-right lane of East River Falcons Way and 3) 10 mph speed limit. Please note that these signs were installed and enforcement is happening in cooperation with the Orange County Sherriff’s Department. Pictures of the signs and placement are below:
Tomorrow is the PERT exam for those students that registered. Please check your student email for your testing location and directions.
Report cards for Q1 will be available for view in Skyward on October 23, 2025. Please email your student’s counselor with any questions or to set up a parent/teacher conference. Please see counselor information below:

Updated reminders for parents and students about our parking lot:
- If you need to pick up your student between 7:30 am-2:20 pm, you must park and walk in the front office. Please do not park in the fire lane. We had an incident last week and called EMS. The firetruck could not get through due to vehicles blocking the fire lane and had to enter from the far end of the courtyard.
- Parking near the front office is marked for mobility, reserved- for parents of Little Falcons and pick-up outside of the regular hours. Please park there when coming inside the front office.
- Please do not line up for afternoon dismissal prior to 1:45 pm. It causes traffic congestion, and we already have enough of that.
- I recommend dropping your student off early, courtyard doors open at 6:45 to avoid morning traffic.
- I recommend coming about 2:30 pm if you are picking up in the afternoon if you want to avoid the rush of traffic and buses leaving the property.
Our SOAR store for positive student behaviors opens this week! Please consider donating to help us reward our students. Ask you student how many positive SOAR points they have.
